For the non-experts, the K-Scan is a camera used to see your scalp at a microscopic level – even identifying scalp problems that hairdressers can’t always see!
Trialed on over 12,000 men and women around the world, with an array of hair types, the Kérastase K-Scan is trained to identify any scalp and hair concerns you may have.
How does the Kerastase K-Scan work?
The Kérastase K-Scan consists of 3 different lights to help us analyse your scalp.
- Firstly, we have the UV light that helps identify dandruff and porphyrin (a molecule that helps supports scalp health).
- Next, we have the cross polarised light. This is perfect for an itchy scalp. The light helps us identify why your scalp may be itchy.
- Lastly, we have the white light. Do you ever feel like you’re washing your hair super regularly, but it still feels oily? This is because your scalp may be producing too much sebum. The K-Scan’s white light helps us identify how we can help this issue.
Before and after results with the K-Scan are extraordinary. Normally with skincare consumers need to wait 21 days (3 weeks) to start seeing results, while our clients see results straight after the K-Scan treatment.
SANDY is currently the only salon on the Northern Beaches that offers the K-Scan as an in salon treatment. Valued at $50, this service is redeemable on products, meaning after your in-depth scalp analyse you can buy products that were recommended by your stylist by K-Scan.
